Help the poor and refugees in Haidariyya, Iraq

Haidariyya is one of the poorest towns in Iraq, with over 1000 refugees who fled the North of Iraq and over 1600 orphans, it has become a place of sorrow and pain. Will you help us to bring some peace to this forgotten town? £25 will help feed a family for 10 days.

On the 4th of April 2016, a group of volunteers, health care professionals and I visited Haidariyya, a village in Iraq. It’s an area that welcomes the refugees from the North of Iraq, especially those who have lost their parents and go to Haidariyya to seek refuge and protection. When we arrived there, our hearts broke into a million pieces. People lacked the absolute bare necessities. Medical need was one of the most apparent, some were suffering from life threatening conditions but couldn’t afford to see a Dr or they did but couldn’t afford to follow up with specialists or buy medication.

We came back to the UK with a promise to do something to change the lives of these orphans, widows and destitute and hence why I created this page in the hope of fulfilling that promise and making a difference in the lives of these people.

We operate on zero admin fees so please do tick the gift aid box if you are UK taxpayer as it would boost your donation by 25% without any extra cost to you. This allows us to ensure that those less fortunate genuinely receive 100% of your donation.
