The purpose of Zakat al-Fitr is to enable the poor to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
Fitra is £7 GBP / $9 USD per person for your dependants and for any persons living or staying as a guest in your home on the night of Eid.
Please remember to donate Fitra on behalf of any orphans that you sponsor. If you donate the equivalent of £25 per month per orphan, then they are regarded as your dependants.
You can give this at any time and the earlier the better so that we can make the necessary distribution arrangements in good time. Regardless of when you donate, it is recommended to make the intention of giving Fitra in the morning before the Eid prayer begins.
