MEDICAL AID STORY – BARAKAH
Barakah is a beautiful girl from Haideriya in Iraq. She had the misfortune of being born with a cleft lip and also with a hole in her heart.

It was an absolute pleasure meeting you all and working with you. We could not have asked for a better group. We would like the bond that have we created to remain strong and we don't want to ever let go of our newly found family and friends. A lot of admiration and thanks to the entire A World Without Barriers team for handling 160 of us, with all of our frustrations at times, they kept smiling. May you be rewarded abundantly. I loved the family atmosphere and made a lot of new friends.
I saw a video and thought of the HCPs/Medics offering their special skills for free to those who really needed it. The video lends itself to that beautiful concept and perhaps opens minds to the fact that people with some of the most everyday skills have the ability to offer those with nothing something that we all take for granted. I will never complain about our NHS again! Thanks to the organisers and all of the volunteers who made this trip a unique experience.
I think each and everyone that joined A World Without Barriers' Easter 2016 humanitarian aid trip are blessed. We made great strides and have changed so many lives already. Let's keep going!
GET INVOLVED
Organise a fundraising event to raise money for A World Without Barriers. This could be anything you like, such as running a marathon, a sponsored cycle ride, a cake sale, or even climbing a mountain. Surprise us with your creativity, the ways to fundraise are endless.
If you are a health care professional, then why not join our next medical aid trip to serve the orphans and widows at the fully equipped medical clinic, the refugee camps and orphanages. We need Doctors, Dentists, Optometrists, Nurses and Pharmacists. Even if you are not a health care professional, but you are enthusiastic and hard working, help is always needed on the aid trips, so get involved. If you can help as an interpreter, we would love to hear from you.

Seeing their terrible plight and fight made me realise
