News reached us of a family living in Najaf who were going through an extremely unfortunate situation.
The father mentioned to us, “Since I’ve fallen ill, I watch my children sleep hungry every night. I have to tie their stomachs with a cloth to stop the pain of hunger but even that doesn’t work anymore.” He was attached to a nebuliser 24/7 as his lungs had filled up with water.
Over £5000 was raised for this family and with this amount we were able to provide the father with sufficient treatment whilst also taking care of the family. A big cooker was purchased for their mother so she began to make and sell food to earn a living for her family. The father shed tears as he prayed for each and every one of the donors. He said that the peace that this act of kindness has brought to his heart is something that will live with him forever.
